A partnership with The Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute which supports dialogue and professional exchange between disabled artists from across Poland.
A key finding from the 2019 Conference Art & Disability: Crossing the Borders was that Poland has a number of very innovative and experienced disabled artists, but that these artists rarely have opportunities to work or talk with each other, either because they feel they are competing for the same opportunities or because of practical challenges and access barriers.
In response, British Council and the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute are launching Disabled Artists’ Network Meetings. We will select 20 disabled artist participants from around Poland, and host these artists for moderated discussion for one day every three months.
The schedule for these meetings is:
15 November 2019
24 February 2020
9 June 2020
5 October 2020
We will provide travel costs, coffee break an lunch.
Meetings will be translated simultaneously into Polish, English and Polish sign language.
Full information about the Disabled Artists’ Network Meetings can be found on Facebook.
