  • Challenges in teachers' everyday work - new technologies, special educational needs and others,
  • Establishing relationships - elements of coaching useful to all teachers who want to play the role of an educational leader,
  • Preparation for certification exams - mistakes made by Polish candidates, examination criteria for Cambridge exams, IELTS test and others

Part III: IELTS - examination criteria 

In order to pass IELTS with flying colours, apart from reading and listening, candidates have to produce advanced written and spoken language. The webinar will discuss the criteria used to assess speaking and writing at IELTS. I will show teachers how they can increase students' understanding of the criteria and how to use IELTS tasks in their teaching. 

 

Bartosz Brzoza is an IELTS educational consultant, teacher of English and examiner. He is finishing his PhD studies at the Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan. He is also a member of Language and Communication Laboratory there.

Coaching for educational leaders

Part IV: How to convince others to introduce and implement your ideas and educational innovations?

Maria Britton (PhD) has 15 years of experience in teaching and educational leadership. She has also served as Cambridge ESOL YLE examiner and a teacher trainer, including for CELTA YL qualification. Maria has gained experience of early language education in the UK, Czechia, Poland, Ukraine and Bahrain. She has an MA with Distinction from London Metropolitan University and a PhD from University of Reading. Her professional experience encompasses working as Senior Teacher Young Learners for British Council, Poland, leading on the programmes for children and teenagers; and an advisory role for a Local Educational Authority in Tower Hamlets, London. Currently, Maria lectures at the University of Warsaw and is a senior leader in a family of international schools, where, among other responsibilities, she is a global mentor for middle leaders.
