Levels: Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced (A1–C2)

What you will learn

  • Advance and practice your reading, writing, listening and speaking through individual and group activities.

By the end of this course you will:

Levels A1–A2 (Beginner)

Level A1

  • understand and use everyday expressions and simple phrases 
  • introduce yourself and others
  • ask and answer questions about where you live, things you have and people you know
  • have a simple conversation with someone who talks slowly and clearly.

Level A2

  • understand sentences and expressions about yourself and your family, shopping, places of interest and work
  • communicate simple, everyday tasks and familiar or routine matters
  • describe your past, environment and immediate needs.

Levels B1–B2 (Intermediate)

Level B1

  • read and understand basic texts about familiar topics like work, study or leisure
  • cope with most everyday situations you would encounter when visiting an English-speaking country
  • write simple, coherent texts about topics that you are familiar with or interested in
  • describe experiences, events, wishes and aspirations, as well as briefly justifying opinions or explaining plans.

Level B2

  • understand the main ideas of complex texts on concrete and abstract topics
  • interact with some fluency and spontaneity
  • write clear, detailed texts on a wide range of subjects, and explain your point of view giving the advantages or disadvantages of various options.

Levels C1–C2 (Advanced)

Level C1

  • understand demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning in them
  • express yourself fluently and spontaneously without needing to search for the right expression
  • use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.

 Level C2

  • understand with ease practically everything you hear or read
  • summarise information and arguments, and present them coherently and concisely 
  • express yourself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations.
