Warsaw International Film Festival is part of the elite group of events recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations, along with international film festivals in Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Locarno or San Sebastián. The 37th Warsaw International Film Festival will be held on 9-18 October 2021 at Kinoteka and Multikino Złote Tarasy cinemas in Warsaw.
Since 1985 WFF presents films that encourage viewers to share and discuss their impressions and these are usually eye-opening experiences, described as: fresh, rebellious, extraordinary. The festival team follows trends with great passion, while remaining true to tradition. The festival was first to show many titles by internationally acclaimed filmmakers in Poland, such as Michael Haneke, Lenny Abrahamson, Asghar Farhadi, Wim Wenders, Cristian Mungiu or Paweł Pawlikowski.
