British Film Festival: Peter Greenaway and Stephen Daldry in Poznań!
From 10 to 15 November, Poznań will once again become a meeting point for the cinema of the United Kingdom. The third edition of the British Film Festival will feature nearly 90 films screened across 160 screenings, alongside a special highlight: retrospectives dedicated to Peter Greenaway and Stephen Daldry, both of whom will be attending the festival in person. The programme will also include an acting retrospective celebrating Alan Rickman, one of Britain’s most distinctive actors.
The festival will open with “Elsinore” - the film that took this year’s BFI London Film Festival by storm. The programme will also feature premiere screenings of highly anticipated films, including Danny Boyle’s “Ink” and Paul Greengrass’s “The Uprising”. Alongside these titles, BFF invites audiences to discover British cinema classics, genre films and socially engaged cinema exploring the many faces of the United Kingdom.
OUTSIDE THE BOX will once again take cinema beyond traditional screening rooms. This year, audiences will be able to experience films in unusual locations across Poznań, including a swimming pool, a post office building and a gym.
