Changes. Epilogue
Film screening
29 November 2026
Curator: Agnieszka Kulazińska
The ‘Changes. Epilogue’ film screening is a continuation of the Polish-British collaboration, one of the outcomes of which were the exhibitions presented in 2025 in Center for Contemporary Art Laznia in Gdańsk and THE BOC Gallery in Plymouth.
Through this film screening, we wish to revisit the questions raised in the exhibitiosan: are we ready for a change? How can we use the lessons learnt from traumatic events to build a better tomorrow? Can history become a lesson on empathy?
The films presented at the screening are an attempt to reinterpret the past to seek guidance on how to shape the future responsibly. By analysing the colonialism, war and globalisation, will we be able to find an antidote to the present day? Can a journey through traumatic events lead to optimism about a future we shape ourselves?
The event is part of a collaboration between the Gdańsk Centre for Contemporary Art (CSW Łaźnia until April 2026) and organisations in Plymouth, supported by the British Council as part of the UK/Poland Season 2025 programme. The screening is the result of a dialogue between Polish and British curators on multicultural societies, centred on last year’s ‘Changes’ exhibition and the ‘RELIC 4’ exhibition presented at the KARST Gallery in Plymouth.
