During Poland’s first International Orchestras Conference Orchestras Now! Future Proof, organised by the National Forum of Music in Wrocław (NFM), representatives of the music community will look at the key challenges and opportunities that their industry is facing now and in the future. They will try to find answers to how they can use what they learned during pandemic to become more resilient and more relevant to the communities in which they operate, how to leverage new technologies and professional networks to become stronger and more impactful, and what orchestras will look like in the decades to come – more of the same or completely different. At the conference, to be held from 6-8 September, managers, musicians, representatives of concert halls, festivals, record labels and broadcasters will hold in-depth discussions about what is happening in other industries and how they can learn from each other to make their sector resilient to future challenges. There will be many prominent UK experts among the invited professionals.
The registration deadline is 31 August. Details of the conference programme and the sign-up form are available at www.nfm.wroclaw.pl/en/orchestras-now.
