We invite you to join an international online event organised by the British Council on 3 November 2026, from 14:00 to 15:30, focusing on language-responsive education in the European context.
The event will present the British Council’s updated position on inclusive language policy and educational practice. The discussion will explore multilingualism in European education systems, supporting learners with a migration or forced displacement background, promoting educational equity, and preparing teachers to work in linguistically diverse classrooms. It will also consider the role of language policy in educational and social integration.
The event will bring together European experts, including Ana Sol-Mena, Senior Expert on Multilingualism at the European Commission, and Sarah Breslin, Executive Director of the European Centre for Modern Languages (ECML). The programme will include a panel discussion, examples of educational projects, and a Q&A session.
