Ralph Fiennes and Sophie Okonedo are performing together in timeless history of passion, power and politics. The staging of this Shakespeare drama – a continuation of his renown ‘Julius Caesar’, won hearts of the public and received enthusiastic critic reviews not only in the United Kingdom. Both main actors received for their roles Evening Standard Theatre Awards – prestigious British theatre awards.

In the Shakespeare play from 1606 big politics are entangled with a great love affair. In the history about Anthony and Cleopatra the playwriter was true to the basic historical facts, however in his drama they became a frame for showing the power of human passion and its influence not only on the fate of ordinary individuals, but also on the nations. The key drama person in this drama is a beautiful Cleopatra.
