Location
PREZERO ARENA GLIWICE / ERGO ARENA GDAŃSK/SOPOT

The world-famous masterpiece by Andrew Lloyd Webber, The Phantom of the Opera, will be presented in Poland for the first time in a monumental arena format. This is an extraordinary superproduction that goes far beyond the boundaries of traditional musical theatre, a spectacle whose scale impresses both through its grand staging and artistic perfection.

In June 2026, marking the 40th anniversary of this global phenomenon, The Phantom of the Opera will be staged in Poland’s largest arenas, in Gdańsk and Gliwice. The production has a company of 100 people, including a live orchestra, with the experience enhanced by spectacular set design, impressive technical solutions, and breathtaking special effects.

The performance will be presented in its original English-language version with Polish subtitles, preserving the full authenticity of one of the most celebrated productions in musical theatre history.

Audiences will be transported to 19th-century Paris, where, in the dark underground of the Palais Garnier, unfolds the moving story of the Phantom — a musical genius hiding from the world — and his obsessive love for the young soprano, Christine Daaé. It is a story of genius, passion, mystery, and longing that has captivated generations of audiences around the world for decades.

The Phantom of the Opera is a phenomenon that has captivated over 160 million viewers in 186 cities worldwide and has won more than 70 major theatre awards, securing its place in global cultural history as one of the most iconic titles of all time.

For Polish audiences, an additional source of pride — and an even greater reason to follow this tour — is the presence of a Polish performer in the ballet ensemble. A Polish dancer joins the international cast as part of the prestigious corps de ballet, bringing not only her artistic excellence to the production but also a distinct and inspiring local touch. This will be a great opportunity for her to work with top artists who have graced the stages of London’s West End and Broadway.

Major international productions impress with their scale and reputation; however, the presence of a Polish artist gives this event a particularly meaningful connection for domestic audiences. It also symbolizes the growing presence of Polish creators and performers on the world’s leading stages — proof that talent, determination, and artistic quality from Poland are increasingly making their mark on the international musical theatre scene.

The performances will be:
Gliwice PreZero Arena (12th-16th June) and Gdańsk Ergo Arena (23rd-28th June).
