Inclusion starts in the classroom — but how do we do it wisely?

How can we include all learners in the classroom and create a learning environment based on respect and psychological safety, without causing harm despite our best intentions? What have we learned over the past few years in Poland, where inclusive education has been a key priority in education policy?

One source of inspiration as we reflect on these questions will be the visit of the wonderful Team EltonixSea Steele (they/them) and Sarah Smith — to Warsaw this September!

We are organising a series of events around Social Justice in School Practice — training sessions and meetings, and we warmly invite all teachers, and anyone interested in the topic to join us.

15 September — an interactive session and discussion with Eltonix at the British Council office in Warsaw: Inclusive and Psychologically Safe Classrooms: A Dialogue on Engaging Every Learner

17 September — a 5-hour face-to-face training session, organised in cooperation with Mazowieckie Samorządowe Centrum Doskonalenia Nauczycieli: Social Justice in the Foreign Language Classroom

18 and 19 September — sessions at the IATEFL Poland Conference.

Register for these events — we are really looking forward to meeting you and having some good conversations together!
