“Fallen Angels”, Noël Coward’s brilliant, dazzling and champagne-fresh comedy of manners, both shocked and delighted audiences when it premiered in 1925. Two upper-class women, taking advantage of their husbands’ absence, raise toast after toast to their pre-marital affairs. The problem is that they both remember the same man, who may well be on his way from France to pay them a visit. This intoxicating comedy by one of the masters of theatrical humour is positively fizzing with old rivalries and long-forgotten scandals.
