Learning English is most effective when it's connected to something you genuinely care about. Our thematic summer courses for teenagers aged 13–17 are designed with exactly that in mind – to develop language skills through the lens of real interests and passions.

Each course focuses on a different theme, but all share the same approach: authentic materials, collaborative projects, and learning that stays with you long after the final lesson. Courses are available for learners at B2 level and above.

We offer three subject pathways:

Film

Does your teenager follow the latest releases, analyse their favourite productions and wonder what goes on behind the camera? The Film course turns a passion for cinema into a tool for learning English.

Participants develop the language to talk critically about films in English – forming opinions, making evaluations and leading discussions. They explore screenwriting and storytelling techniques, study how characters are brought to life, and gain insight into the film-making process. The course concludes with a collaborative team project that brings together everything they've learned.

Business and Entrepreneurship

Do you have a young person at home with a head full of ideas, already thinking about how to make their mark on the world? The Business and Entrepreneurship course is the ideal environment to develop those talents through English.

Participants are guided through the key stages of building a business concept – from generating and refining ideas to identifying a target market, understanding customer needs, and pitching their project to an audience. Along the way, they develop skills in presenting, negotiating and persuading – essential not just in business, but in every walk of life.

Fashion and Design

Style, aesthetics, the history of fashion – if your teenager is passionate about the world of fashion, this course lets them explore that passion through English while building skills that will serve them at university and beyond.

Participants explore fashion history, ethical consumption and the figures who shaped contemporary style. They practise description, argumentation, discussion and practical writing. The course culminates in an artistic or style project, with an optional gallery visit that brings the course themes to life.
