IN THE DEPTH: the New British Experimental and Avant-garde Music and Art

The project "In the Depth: New British Experimental and Avant-Garde Music and Art: UK/Poland Season 2025" serves as a central component of the Avant Art Festival editions in Warsaw and Wrocław in 2025. It represents a return to the festival’s tradition of showcasing and promoting the culture of selected countries. In previous years, editions have been dedicated to nations such as Norway, Switzerland, Germany, and Japan. The decision to focus on British culture stems from the festival curators’ profound fascination with the culture of the United Kingdom and the longstanding tradition of featuring British artists and projects in the festival’s music and film programs.

 

The program of "In the Depth: New British Experimental and Avant-Garde Music and Art: UK/Poland Season 2025" offers a multidisciplinary showcase of the finest and most intriguing projects and figures from the British experimental scene. The lineup includes concerts, documentary screenings, discussions, and workshops for children, all organized in collaboration with selected international partners, including Capsule, the organizer of Supersonic Festival—one of the UK’s premier festivals.
