The Edinburgh International Festival (EIF), founded in 1947, is the oldest, largest, and most renowned British festival, blending music, theater, and dance performances. Every August, for three weeks, Edinburgh transforms into the cultural hub of the UK, offering world-class artistic events that attract millions and global media attention.
As part of the Polish-British cultural season, the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, in collaboration with EIF, the Polish Institute in London, the National Forum of Music, and the State Music Publishing House (PWM), has announced the program "Focus on Poland 2025". This exciting series will feature Polish ensembles and soloists in concert, alongside performances of works by Polish composers by prominent British artists.
The goal of this initiative is to re-establish ties with one of the UK’s most significant festivals, presenting a selection of Polish musical talent to the British and international audience, while promoting Polish music. This collaboration highlights Poland’s rich cultural heritage and reinforces the importance of artistic exchange between Poland and the UK. The program promises to be an exceptional showcase of Polish musical artistry at one of the world’s most prestigious cultural events.
