The Polish-Scottish dance evening is the result of an extended collaboration between Polish playwright Agnieszka Jakimiak and Scottish Dance Theatre director Joan Clevill.
The creators outline a common area of creative exploration, and through the means of an open call for participants, create a lab. ‘This project is a process of community building, experimentation, and mutual exchange leading to a TEMPORARY MUSEUM OF FUTURES, a public sharing of embodied future-building practices discovered in its duration.’

Museum of Futures is a project born from an artistic exchange residency and the collective sharing of practices by 12 dance and choreography individuals from Poland and Scotland. It is a temporary creative community in which dance, choreography and dramaturgy are used to imagine the future – not as a tale of technological advancement, but as a space grounded in empathy, care and relationality. In a time of growing uncertainty – climatic, political and social – the project invites an exploration of what the “body or bodies of the future” might mean: imperfect, empathetic and communal. The aim of the project is not to produce a finished performance, but to create a research situation in which dance, choreography and dramaturgy become tools for generating potential alternatives to existing social and artistic structures. How can we choreograph relationships? How can we collaborate without reproducing familiar power dynamics? How can we draw on the past and archival movement practices? Led by Scottish Dance Theatre’s Artistic Director Joan Clevillé and Polish director and dramaturg Agnieszka Jakimiak, the project embraces a diversity of bodily, identity-based and aesthetic experiences. At a time when the future is becoming the object of market speculation and the body a site of control, Museum of Futures proposes another framework: the future as a relationship, the body as a space of negotiation. Museum of Futures is an international collaboration between the Ciało/Umysł Foundation and Scottish Dance Theatre, presented as part of the UK/Poland 2025 season.

Ray invites performers and audience alike on an emotional and spiritual journey. Blanaru explores the theme of non-verbal empathy and connection within a shared collective experience, drawing on a choreographic practice rooted in the Feldenkrais Method. Her movement language is both subtle and powerful, encouraging the audience to “come closer” and prompting the six dancers to search continuously and immerse themselves in intense physical and emotional states. The performance creates a space where people can meet without words, ideas or mental constructs.
Creates a bond between audience and performers stronger than I have felt for a long time. - „Dancing Times”
