We are looking for experts  on  SAP Access Basis architecture, who would be able consult, design, develop, integrate and support (second line) SAP Access solutions as enablers for British Council’s global business activities, throughout their service lifecycle, working within a split global team.

Role overview

We expect:

  • Extensive SAP BW (7.0+) implementation experience.  Including:
  • ETL – Data transformation from SAP ERP systems and/or other Databases u.
  • Installation and enhancement of Business Content.
  • Creation of generic datasources.
  • Creation of reports using Query Designer and Web Application Designer.
  • Detailed knowledge of BW/OLAP data modelling best practice.
  • Detailed knowledge of BW performance tuning techniques.
  • Minimum of 2 full BW/SEM project lifecycles.
  • Good ‘high-level’ functional knowledge of SAP ERP modules e.g. Financials, Logistics and   Human Resources.
  • Ability to translate organizational goals and objectives into a coherent and validated statement of information requirements.
  • Good communication skills at all levels, from project team members through to senior managers.

Desirable:

  • BW – IP  implementation experience.
  • Experience of one or more areas of Business Objects development including:  Xcelsius/Dashboard,  Web Intelligence, BO Explorer, Universe design.
  • Business Objects Data Services,  use of for data transfer or data cleansing.
  • ABAP skills used specifically in SAP BW development.
  • SAP BPC implementation/user experience.
