Chopiniana/Bolero/Chroma
Date
Friday 25 November 2016 to Sunday 05 March 2017
Location
Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera, Warszawa

This Autumn's premiere of the Polish National Ballet at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera is dedicated to the director of the Polish National Opera’s ballet company: Krzysztof Pastor. In the 2016/17 artistic sesaon we celebrate his four jubilees: a milestone birthday and major anniversaries of becoming a student of ballet, a soloist and a choreographer.

For this occasion on 25 November 2016 on the stage of Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera you will get a chance to see Chopiniana/Bolero/Chroma. This triple bill is a testament to Pastor's great respect for the balletic tradition as well as his admiration for choreographic avant-garde. Along with Pastor's own choreographic version of  Maurice Ravel's Bolero, the production includes the beautiful, neo-romantic Chopiniana choreographed by Mikhail Fokin to Fryderyk Chopin's music and Chroma, the balletic hit from the internationally acclaimed British contemporary choreographer Wayne McGregor set to music by Joby Talbot and Jack White.
