The NFM Choir, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, invites you once again to listen to British a cappella music.
This time the choir will be directed by conductor, singer and composer from the United Kingdom Bob Chilcott. The concert programme includes some of his pieces.
Bob Chilcott has been active in vocal music from the very start of his performing activities. As a teenager, he joined the choir of King’s College, Cambridge, where he sang until graduation. He won faithful fans as a member of the hugely popular King’s Singers, with whom he sang for 12 years. He has successfully combined performing and conducting careers, working with the best ensembles across Europe. Chilcott is also a composer, author of hundreds of pieces for vocal ensembles. His works delight critics with their melodies and inventive harmonics that, though far away from avant garde experimentation, often surprise the listener. The observers of Europe’s music life call Chilcott "the hero of British choral music".
Join us for this unique meeting with the colourful and diversified work of British composers.
