Online event

Creative Mikser is a series of networking meetings addressed to Warsaw's creative community, organised by the British Council and the City of Warsaw, in cooperation with partners. We would like to invite you to the very first online edition of the event which will take place on 14 October 2020. We will focus on the topic of circular economy and discuss approaches to designing products and services in an environmentally and socially sustainable way. Our special guest from the UK will be Joe Iles, Circular Design Programme Lead at Ellen MacArthur Foundation. Warsaw will be represented by Aleksandra Kretkowska from The 17 Goals Campaign.

21. edition of Creative Mikser will explore the relationship between the circular economy and design. Two expert panellists will present the importance of shifting our thinking from a linear to circular approach, followed by a discussion on some of the rewards and challenges on a global and local level.

How can our finest creative minds and world class artists work together with industry and wider society to create a sustainable, regenerative and responsible economy?  What can be the role of cutting-edge design, and the use of new materials? Can circular culture really create new trends or just recycle old work?

The meeting will be chaired and moderated by Parvinder Marwaha, Design Programme Manager at British Council UK.
