Teachers of English are warmly invited to join us for our free of charge Let’s prepare your students for YLE tests workshops which will take place on 15 January in British Council office at Rynek Główny 6 in Kraków..
Workshop consists of 2 modules:
Module 1 (60 min) Introduction to YLE tests
The aim of this workshop is to acquaint the English teachers with the YLE tests, including the sample computer-based YLE tests. The participants will receive practical tips on how to help their students learn English and how to support them in their preparation for YLE tests.
Module 2 (60 min) Teaching tips: Cambridge English: YLE Speaking
The aims of this workshop are:
- to highlight ways of approaching speaking skills in the classroom
- to give practical teaching ideas
- to present an outline of the assessment procedures. Furthermore, it provides practice in assessing the speaking performance at YLE level.

Workshops are organised in 2 time slots:
- 10.00–12.00 (Module 1, Module 2)
- 13.00–15.00 (Module 1, Module 2)

For all teachers of English planning to or already delivering YLE preparation courses.
TEACHER TRAINER – WHO IS SHE?
Barbara Szybowska – a graduate of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow; an experienced teacher, examiner and presenter. She teaches nearly all age groups, levels and course types as she loves new challenges and is always eager to share her experience.
Her professional focus is on motivating learners, especially the young ones and raising their interest in the language. She loves travelling, climbing and telling jokes about blondes.
