Thursday 22 October 2020 - 19:00

As part of the MultiCulture Britain project, Multikino and British Council present an encore screening of NT Live’s Present Laughter, with Andrew Scott (BBC’s Sherlock, Fleabag) in the lead role.

As he prepares to embark on an overseas tour, star actor Garry Essendine’s colourful life is in danger of spiralling out of control. Engulfed by an escalating identity crisis as his many and various relationships compete for his attention, Garry’s few remaining days at home are a chaotic whirlwind of love, panic and soul-searching.

Captured live from The Old Vic in London, Present Laughter is a giddy and surprisingly modern reflection on fame, desire and loneliness.

The screening will take place on 22 October at 19.00 in the following Multikino cinemas: Bydgoszcz, Gdańsk, Katowice, Kraków, Lublin, Łódź, Poznań Stary Browar, Szczecin, Warszawa Młociny, Warszawa Targówek, Warszawa Ursynów, Warszawa Złote Tarasy, Wrocław Pasaż Grunwaldzki and Zabrze.

The play, recorded with the public’s presence, will be screened in DCP digital standard, High Definition, Digital Dolby Surround. Screenings are in English with Polish subtitles.

Running time: 184 minutes
