The project's premise is inspired by the category of planetary consciousness - in reference to the theory of sociologist and globalization theorist Roland Robertson, creator of the concept of global consciousness. Turning to the world-universe relationship is a far-reaching challenge faced by the social-humanities sciences. Planetary consciousness as we understand it, however, concerns planet Earth as a whole; a planet that is being exploited, ignored, successively brought to the brink of extinction. At the same time, treated more and more subjectively, with empathy and care.

Artists from Poland and Ukraine were invited to participate in the exhibition.

The project exploits the potential of XR (extended reality) technology as a resource of new techniques in the field of art, increasingly functioning alongside more classical media such as video or installation.
